Who was Levi Lloyd?

Levi started singing in teen centers and USO bars at the age of 17. He eventually settled in Oakland, California due to its rich jazz, blues, and funk cultures.

After graduating from high school, he attended Laney College in nearby Los Angeles before setting out on his wanderlust journey.

He spent four years in Hawaii, and twelve more in the Pacific Northwest. B.B. King was his close friend and he worked closely with him.

King accompanied Joe Louis Walker as his long-time guitarist on international tours. In 2012, he was awarded the North Bay’s Best R&B Group.
