Reports indicate a 28-year-old model’s body part, along with an electric saw, meat slicer and some clothing were discovered in a rental unit in Hong Kong’s northern Tai Po district on Friday afternoon.
Police confirmed three people had been arrested and detained for questioning into the matter. Superintendent Alan Chung stated, “We are still searching for her head” after noting that some woman’s limbs had been discovered inside a refrigerator.
Chung further revealed that the house had both electric saws and meat grinders which had been used to mince human flesh; two pots of stew believed to contain human tissue were left at the scene as well.
Who Is Abby Choi’s Family Member?
Of the three individuals arrested Saturday afternoon, Abby Choi’s ex-husband who goes by Kwong (28 years old) was among them. Reports say he attempted to flee by boat but instead ended up getting caught.
A day earlier his parents, mother and elder brother had also been detained on similar charges. Chung stated, “We believe there were numerous financial disputes between her family members involving substantial sums”.
Police believe someone was unhappy with the victim’s management of her assets, which provided justification for murder. Her ex-brother who served as chauffeur is believed to have last seen her.
Additionally, it has been reported that members of the family had previously lied to investigators.
He noted that the village house had recently been rented and left unfurnished, suggesting it had been set up to dispose of Choi’s remains.
