Lucas York Black was born November 29, 1982. He is an American actor in television and film. He is most well-known for his role as Sean Boswell, the main character in The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006).

He would then reprise the role in Furious 7 (2015) and F9 (2021), as well as other roles like Caleb Temple on CBS’s American Gothic (1995-1996) and Special Agent Christopher LaSalle (2014-2019). Sling Blade (1996) and Flash (1997) were his most notable films.

Black was born to Jan Gillespie (an office worker) and Larry Black (a museum employee). Black is the son of two siblings, and was raised as a Southern Baptist. He was born in Speake in Alabama and played football with the Speake Bobcats. He graduated from High School in May 2001.

Black’s first film appearance was at the age of 11 in Kevin Costner’s film The War. In 1995, he was cast as Caleb Temple on CBS’s television series American Gothic.

He also appeared in the films Sling Blade and Ghosts of Mississippi. Later, Black played Conner Strong in the TV movie (1997). It aired on The Wonderful World of Disney. In the movie, his character visits a horse every single day in the hope of purchasing it.

Black was a supporting character in the historical drama Cold Mountain (2003-2004). He starred in Killer Diller’s 2004 indie musical drama Vernon and in Friday Night Lights (2004) as Mike Winchell, an autistic pianist prodigy.

Black played Nat Banyon, an indie thriller film directed by David S. Marfield. He also starred in the drama film Jarhead (2006) about the Gulf War, which was directed by Sam Mendes.

And, he was Sean Boswell in The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) directed by Justin Lin. He said Tokyo Drift was the one where he had the most fun.

Black played Buddy in Get Low (2009), an indie drama directed by Aaron Schneider. He also starred in Jeep Hanson’s Bible-themed fantasy thriller Legion (2010). Luke Chisholm is a talented young golfer who sets his sights on the pro tour in Seven Days in Utopia (2010).

In the drama film 42 (2013), he played the role of Pee Weerese, the Brooklyn Dodgers shortstop.

Black, who has done other sports films and was a player in his youth, said that filming is “a lot more fun because you can reminisce and share your memories with the actors, and you also get to be on the same team with them and have that camaraderie and camaraderie with their players.”

2014 saw Lucas cast in NCIS New Orleans as NCIS Special agent LaSalle. He is a hardworking, no-nonsense agent who lives by the motto “work hard, play harder”.

He also returned to the Fast & Furious franchise and played a supporting role in 2021.
