Recent tragedies in the United States of America have been tragic and frequent. One such instance occurred recently in Virginia State USA, when a six-year old boy shot his First-grade teacher in the classroom.

Although this horrifying event took place some days ago, its mother has now been criminally charged with an extensive amount of money for child neglect and careless storage of weapons.

If found guilty, she could face imprisonment for five years. For more information about this tragic episode, read through this article.

6 inside her classroom at Richneck Elementary School, is facing serious legal repercussions. James Ellenson, the lawyer of the child’s family, revealed to reporters that their gun was secured with a trigger lock in a closet.

Although they have previously stated they don’t know how the boy obtained it, Zwerner’s lawyer testified in court that all defendants knew of his history of random violence both at school and home–including once when his kindergarten teacher choked him–and now they are acknowledging an acute disability and need for hospital care.

The school administration is facing serious criticism from the people.

Reports state that days after the shooting, administrators at Richneck Elementary had suspected the child may have had a weapon; yet they failed to locate it despite searching his backpack.

Further, sources indicate the teacher gave multiple warnings to school authorities that her son was hyper and had made threats several times but no action was taken.

Diane Toscano, victim’s lawyer, has also stated that this division violated state law and bears responsibility for its role in this tragedy.

In recent years, US citizens have called for stricter gun laws in response to school shootings, arguing that making firearm access more difficult will reduce the likelihood of such tragedies.

Unfortunately, in one such incident a kid might harm himself. With more and more shooting incidents reported across America, mental health issues of children must be taken into account by government authorities.
