Demaiter was up in Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada, and had a keen interest in ice hockey and boating as a child.
She joined the Bluewater Hawks of the Provincial Women’s Hockey League at a young age. She was a goalie for the Hawks for a few years before deciding to retire from the game.
In June of last year, Demaiter announced on Instagram that she had decided to’say goodbye’ to ice hockey at the age of 19.
