Camera: In my single day of usage and testing as of now, Back Camera took some great picture with enough tweaks available which will keep all your inner photo enthusiast engaged, It is one of the best back camera that i have seen till date. Front camera is good but nothing great (People who want to take lot of selfies should stick to their Oppos,Vivos and Gionee).

Processor: Kirin 960 will make sure all your multitasking needs are met without giving you any lag (To People advocating Snapdragon 835’s superior performance – Brother, what is the real world use of those slightly better figures?).

Games: Vulkan API support for Kirin 960 will make sure current heavy games (which uses Vulkan) will play better on this phone vs Samsung’s S8 or OP5. So Honor 8 Pro will be a beast for Gaming with its 2k display 🙂

Durability: It has all metal chassis which makes durability of this phone awesome, Gorilla glass 3 on front panels will keep away scratches (Gorilla Glass 5 would have been better though, but it has only a slight advantage).

Overheating: Have used for a day as of now, doesnt overheat in normal usage (Will update after few days).

Size of the phone: Just for comparison, it will be slightly bigger than any normal 5.5″ phone.

Brand: Well, Huawei is one of the tech giant if you have not already heard of it & Honor is Huawei’s brand.

Value for Money: Honor 8 Pro steals the cake here. As my headline says, it is the best phone you can get under 30k right now.

Pros:

1. Look is so elegant, all metal finished body, good screen coverage (luckily my flip cover of LYF water 7 of 5.5 inch can be used again).

2. Blue Color is awesome ( its so smooth, looks perfect in hand).

3. Camera Quality – Out of the world, Selfie camera automatically beautifies the photo, clarity is amazing, options like 3d creator, Timelapse, slomo, monochrome, night shot, filters, watermark are there.

4. No lag, very smooth ( well its one day old, all phone one first day are smooth, will update after installing tones of apps).

5. Smart Controller – I think its remote application for TV and AC(didn’t tried it yet).

6. Default Apps- Facebook, messenger, UC browser, Instagram, Flipboard, Opera Max, Compass are already there.

7. Music – Sound quality is good, volume is high.

8. Several options in drop down area like mirrorshare, screen record, screenshot, data, 4G, NFC, floating dock are there apart from the normal default ones.

9. App Twin feature- Can easily install two whatsapp, facebook, instagram or so and so.

10. VOLTE support.

Cons:

1. Screen glass is actually over the metallic body so seems vulnerable if falls from a height.

2. No flash in front

3. As they said charging is fast, but doesn’t seem to me that fast, took almost 2hr to go from 40 to 100 percent.

4. Charging port, 3.5mm jack position design on lower end seems copied ditto from iPhone.

5. Heating issue – Phone got overheated when charged 10 to 15 min after 100%.

My Final Words:

It does seem as though the Honor 8 Pro is a good all-rounder. For Rs 29,999, it is considerably more affordable and better than the OnePlus 5, potentially making it just as much of a flagship killer. If you are planning to buy it then simply go for it.
