A sperm bank in the Chinese capital Beijing has listing loyalty to the ruling Communist Party as a prerequisite for the prospective donors.
The ‘Third Hospital of Peking University’ launched a sperm donation campaign on Wednesday which will run until May 23rd.

“The donors must love the socialist motherland and embracing the leadership of the Communist Party,” the notice says.
“He must loyal to the party’s tasks, be decent, law-abiding and free of any political problems,” it says.
The Communist Party of China, which is headed by President Xi Jinping, now looks to stamp its control on the sperm banks.
The Communist Party of China controls all walks of life in China including the military, police and all aspects of the governance.
Apart from meeting the political requirements, the donors must be over 20 years old and show no apparent signs of the hair loss, color blindness or weight problems.
Donors will need to pass the two rounds of tests first, one checking the quality of their semen and one for the general health and fitness.
Those who are passing the tests will pay 200 yuan (USD 32) immediately. And those who successfully donate will reward with 5,500 yuan (USD 872).
There appears to no test for the donors’ political reliability. A doctor on the hospital consultation hotline says no additional tests will conduct for the governmental requirements.
“It will fine as long as you consider yourself to be suitable,” the Post quotes the doctor as saying.
The Donors will need to donate around ten times in the six months to ensure there is an adequate supply for the artificial insemination.
Despite world’s most populous country with over 1.3 billion people, China has tens of thousands of infertile couples longing for a child.
All sperm banks across the country face the donation shortages because many young men are unaware or too embarrassed to donate.

Official media reports earlier said that the demand for donating sperm surging after Beijing relaxed its grip on the one-child policy in the year 2015, that allowing two children in most families.

Less than 20 percent of the donated sperm has to deem suitable for use, according to the report.
Families using the sperm bank must prove that the husband is infertile or can transmit the genetic diseases, the Post report says.
The sperm bank also provides birth insurance, which is allowing clients to freeze their sperm in case of a future medical problem.
