The Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is shut down his Facebook account as the social media giant struggles to cope with worst privacy crisis in its history.

In an email to the USA Today, Wozniak says Facebook makes a lot of the advertising money from personal details providing by users. He says the “profits are all on the user’s information, but the users get none of the profits back.”

Wozniak says he is instead paying for the Facebook.

“The Apple makes money off of good products, not off of you,” he says.

In an interview late Monday in the Philadelphia with The Associated Press, Wozniak says he thought for a while of deleting his account and making a move after a several of his trusted friends deleting their Facebook accounts last week.

It is “big hypocrisy not respecting my privacy when Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg buys all the houses around his and all the lots around his in Hawaii for his privacy,” Wozniak says. “He knows the value of it, but he is not looking after mine.”

He says he did not foresee the Apple not allowing the Facebook app to bought or downloading on its phones but says he did not make that decision for the company.
